Following this approach, our technical office has been dealing with TILE DESIGN FOR SOME YEARS NOW ACCORDING TO THE "FINITE ELEMENTS" METHOD OF CALCULATION (F. E. M. - FINITE ELEMENTS MODEL), a method applied to our three-dimensional models, WHICH ENABLES, ONCE THE PROFILE OF A ROOF TILE HAS BEEN CHOSEN, MAXIMUM STRENGTH TO BE OBTAINED WITH LESS WEIGHT, offering all of the following advantages:

- REDUCTION IN WEIGHT AND THEREFORE THE COST OF RAW MATERIALS, BY UP TO 10%;

- PRODUCTS WHICH ARE EASIER TO HANDLE BY ROOF INSTALLERS;

- LIGHTER ROOF TILES WITH BENEFITS FOR SUPPORT STRUCTURES;

- REDUCTION IN TRANSPORT COSTS;

- PERFECT INTER-CHANGEABILITY WITH "OLD" ROOF TILES OF THE SAME PROFILE;

An investment in these new aluminium pallets can be quickly recovered in part by the sale of the old ones, in part, as has already been said, thanks to the savings in raw materials and the lower transport costs.
