Vortex Hydra has got a worldwide leader in supplying machinery and plants for EXTRUDED CONCRETE ROOF TILES.
An opportunity is now offered to diversify also in producing Wall and Floor cladding utilising similar technology and machinery.
1) WALL: EXTRUDED WALL CLADDING
PRODUCTION PROCESS
The products (as bricks, tiles with different surface finish) are made by extrusion of a thin layer of concrete over aluminium pallets, like concrete roof tiles. Sand, water, cement and colour are mixed and fed into the extrusion box that shapes the concrete over a continuous bed of aluminium pallets pushed through on the bench. This causes the material to be extruded between the moulds and the shaping tools with high compaction.
Accessories like brick corners or others are manufactured by a dedicated machine.
2) FLOOR: EXTRUDED SINGLE AND DOUBLE LAYER
Floor tiles can be manufactured in a single layer max 20-25mm over aluminium pallets or double layer max 40-45mm extruded upside-down under two extrusion-boxes. Firstly is extruded the upper anti-wearing layer and then according to the setting of the slipper can be decided the thickness of the main-second layer using bigger granulometry sand without colour. Our double layer floor tiles provide the following features: durability, water resistance, good surface hardness, not slippery and reduces the steel reinforcement. Big saving can be achieved compared with traditional technology of pressed-vibrated or wet casted floor tiles with very competitive production cost, less machinery and faster production rate.
We are able to offer our clients a wide array of Floor Concrete Tiles, these are the ideal solution for footpaths, entrance and stair-cases of public buildings, passages of auditoriums, all types of Masonry works and heavy traffic areas.
3) OTHERS: COPING STONES & MARMOROC
ADVANTAGES OF EXTRUSION
compared with Wet Casting and Pressure Vibrated technology:
- Big production with less investment
- Higher compaction and clean operation
- Possibility to fully automate the process
- High flexibility in term of colour change, surface finish and dimensions.
